Foni Ding Ding Federation

I am pleased to share with you the achievements and successes of Foni Ding Ding Federation (FDDF)
in the past Fiscal Year. A child protection and development organization focusing on protection of
children and their development, the Federation was able to deliver significant services to children
and their families living in deprivation, exclusion and vulnerability.
Key among those include family economic empowerment programs through local structures, we
supported community and backyard gardens, provide small ruminants to our sponsored and enrolled
children and conducted nutritional training for caregivers. 

We also provided teaching and learning materials for thousands of children, extra mural classes, solar lamps for children living in communities without electricity, facilitated children participation in international events celebration and extracurricular activities, and back-to-school educational package for all categories of children in the basic and secondary education.

Foni Ding Ding also provided medical support to children, supported disaster victims by providing reconstruction materials, and conducted positive parenting training for caregivers.

The federation provided training on child protection for communities and schools. We also established 5 Child Led Child Protection Committees in 5 schools, and 17 community Child Protection Committees who monitor children in the communities to ensure they are protected from all forms of abuse. We also conducted community-based child protection mapping in one community using children as a focal point, and the report results gathered from the mapping exercise will be used to address all forms of abuses and violence against children.

We also conducted training of security officers on child protection with special focus on case management.

Meanwhile, the existing child and community led child protection committees were strengthened and will continue to be strengthened through training to enable them to function effectively in addressing child protection issues in their localities.

Let me seize this moment to thank you the donors for your tremendous contribution and support to us which enabled us to render these lifechanging services to children.

At this point, I am happy to share with you that Foni Ding Ding Federation has been granted an NGO status in February 2024, signifying yet another huge achievement in the year under review.

There is no doubt, it was a great year, and with your continuous support, next year would even be greater.
